At 3pm on Sunday 10th May, a group of walkers arrived back at Windsor Castle, 8 days and 7 1/2 hours after his HRH Duke of Edinburgh started the 1st walkers from the same spot at Windsor Castle signifying the end of 130 gruelling miles of Beating the Bounds of Berkshire 2009
The finishing group included the event’s Vice Patron Dr Christina Hill-Williams The High Sheriff of Berkshire and Geoff and Carol, a husband and wife who had walked every single stage of the route !
